Pips Pots
Pips Pots was my first experience working for a sound crew on a film production. The piece was a short documentary on Pippin Drysdale, an internationally renown ceramic artist from Fremantle. I was a part of a four man sound crew in which we got experience operating shotgun mics, lavalier mics, all captured through a Zoom F8 and edited in protools.
Director: Max Scali
Producer: Fifi Lopez
DOP: Robbie Skelton
AC/Gaffer: Rylie Godier
Editor: Tom Goodbun
Sound Crew: Liam Piggott, Max Bremer, Ritik Raghvani, Sammuel Noye
The Film Crew
The shoot requirements were purely focused on capturing dialog. It was shot in two locations. One of which was a static a shot allowing the boom to be set on a C-stand, and the other was a walking shot in which we followed pip doing a tour of her pottery studio.
The shoot
After the shoot we recorded some voice overs of Max the Director. Following this, the films editor compiled the shots, then the video was pieced together with the audio in protools using the in built video engine.
